Bins

Extend inventory and availability in document and journal lines with bin and zone information.

The Bins module shows the inventory quantity in the selected bin or across the entire zone. This helps you quickly check where inventory is stored and how much is available at the location indicated on a document line.

⚙️ How it works

When a document line includes a bin code, the module calculates the quantity for that bin. If the bin belongs to a zone, you can also check the total quantity across all bins in that zone.

🔍 Bin and Zone Stock Fields

When the Bin Support module is enabled and a document line has a bin code assigned, two additional inventory fields become available:

Bin Stock

Displays the current stock quantity for the specific bin assigned to the document line.

  • Calculation: Based on warehouse entries for the specific bin
  • Visibility: Appears only when a bin code is present on the line

Zone Stock

Displays the total stock quantity across all bins within the same zone as the assigned bin.

  • Drill-Down: Click the field to view detailed bin contents for all bins in the zone
  • Calculation: Aggregates inventory from all bins belonging to the zone
  • Visibility: Appears only when a bin code is present and the bin belongs to a zone

🚀 How to enable the module

  1. Open N24I Modules factbox from the Advanced Inventory Setup.
  2. Enable the 📦 Bins module.
  3. Refresh the page once prompted so that the new actions become visible.
