Item Costs
In the Trading Hub view, you can find columns related to item costs. They are displayed in various formats, such as:
- Unit Cost - the cost of one unit of inventory.
- Unit Cost with Charges - the cost of one unit of inventory including additional costs, such as transportation or packaging.
- Cost - the total cost of available inventory units.
- Cost with Charges - the total cost of available inventory units including additional costs.
Each of the above fields appears in two currencies:
- Local currency - cost expressed in the local currency, which is set in the system in General Ledger Setup
- Additional currency - cost expressed in the Additional Reporting Currency set in General Ledger Setup.
How are they calculated?
When purchase orders are treated as lots
When the Purch. Order As Lot No. option is enabled in Advanced Inventory Settings and purchase orders are visible in Trading Hub as lots, the cost for these items is calculated based on the purchase price from those orders.
Other lines
For other lines, the cost is calculated based on positive Value Entries for the given item/variant/location/lot. The highest cost from all entries is found, and then it is divided by the quantity of units that are available in the given location.
