Use this module to suggest a default payment method code for new General Journal lines.

Set a default payment method code for new General Journal lines to reduce manual data entry.

⚙️ Setting a default value

For General Journal, define Default Payment Method for the selected template. The value is used for new General Journal lines when the configured condition is met.

Define it in General Journal Templates.

🧭 Using the suggested value

When you create a new General Journal line, the system checks the selected General Journal Template. If Gen. Bus. Posting Group on the line is empty and Default Payment Method on the template is filled in, the system sets Payment Method Code on the line to the configured value.

1. Select a General Journal Template with Default Payment Method filled in.
2. Create a new General Journal line while Gen. Bus. Posting Group is empty.
3. The user sees the configured value in Payment Method Code.
