Verification of Required Data for Intrastat
In N24 Core Extension Setup, the option for automatic verification of Sales and Purchase documents has been added. The following data is checked:
- Country/Region Code filled in the invoice header
- Intrastat Code filled in the Countries/Regions table
- Net Weight is greater than 0
- Shipping Method filled in the header
Examples and Scenarios
Scenario: Blocking sales invoice posting without Intrastat data
Need: A company sells goods to EU countries. The accountant noticed that some invoices were posted without net weight filled in on items, causing problems when generating the Intrastat declaration.
Configuration:
- Open N24 Core Extension Setup.
- Enable the Intrastat required data verification option for sales documents.
How it works:
- A salesperson creates a sales invoice for a customer in Germany.
- The item in the line is missing Net Weight (= 0).
- When attempting to post, the system displays an error: missing required net weight.
- The salesperson fills in the weight on the item card and retries posting.
Result: All posted export invoices have complete Intrastat data. The declaration is generated without gaps and doesn't require manual corrections.
Tip
The verification also checks the country code and shipping method in the header — ensuring all required fields are filled before posting.
