Production Entry Import and Posting
This section describes the process of importing and posting production entries from the ShopFloor to Business Central.
Manual Entry Processing
Import to Journal
- On the BC:ShopFloor Production Entries page, find entries with Ready for processing status
- To import entries to the production journal:
- Select the Import Entries to Output Journal action to process all ready entries
- Or use Import Selected Entries to Output Journal for selected items
Journal Posting
- After successful import, select the Post Output Journal action
- System posts entries line by line
- In case of error:
- Already posted entries remain processed
- Entries with errors are automatically moved to error journal
Status Monitoring
Each entry can have one of the following statuses:
- Created - new entry, not yet approved
- Ready for processing - entry approved, waiting for import to journal
- Imported - entry successfully transferred to production journal
- Posted - entry fully processed and posted in the system
- Error - a problem occurred during processing (details in the Error Text field)
- Skipped - entry marked to be excluded from the import and posting process
