Tolerance Control

The tolerance control module enables controlling registered production quantities based on two methods:

  • By quantity
  • By time

Operation

Control by Produced Quantity

The system checks if the sum of registered quantity does not exceed the input quantity plus tolerance percentage.

Example:

  • Input quantity: 100 pcs.
  • Tolerance: 10%
  • Maximum allowed quantity: 110 pcs.

Control by Time

The system checks if the sum of registered time in relation to unit time does not exceed the possible quantity to produce plus tolerance percentage.

Example:

  • Unit time: 1 hour/pc
  • Registered time: 11 hours
  • Tolerance: 10%
  • Maximum allowed quantity: 11 pcs.

Error Handling

When allowed tolerance is exceeded:

  1. The entry is marked as an error
  2. A tolerance control error record is created containing:
    • Control method
    • Tolerance percentage
    • Registered quantity
    • Registered unit time
    • New registered quantity
    • New registered time
    • Unit time
    • Maximum allowed quantity
    • Error information
    • Error date and time

Requirements

The module requires activation in solution settings.

How to Enable the Module?

Each module can be enabled or disabled at any time for any of your companies. Disabling a module hides all interface elements added by it. When a module is disabled, its functions become unavailable to users.

To enable a module

  1. Go to the ShopFloor Setup page.
  2. Open the information panel on the right, where you'll find the Modules section. alt text
  3. Select any module from the list, then click alt text.
  4. From the action menu, select Enable.

Additional information

  1. A module can be disabled in a similar way, using the action menu.
  2. Clicking on a module name will redirect you to the module's documentation page.
