Set Sender and Recipient Codes
GFL identifies shipping and delivery locations by its own codes. Set them up before creating an order so that GFL Sender Code and GFL Recipient Code are filled in automatically in the wizard.
1️⃣ Open Address Mapping
- Open TMS | Setup.
- In 🔗 Integration: GFL, select Address Mapping.
- On TMS | Integration Address Mapping, add a row for GFL.
2️⃣ Set a Sender Code
Add an entry for every location from which pallets are shipped:
- Select Location as the address type.
- Select the appropriate location.
- Enter the code supplied by GFL as the external address code.
When a location has no separate entry, the wizard uses Default Sender ID from the GFL setup.
3️⃣ Set a Recipient Code
Add an entry for every recipient for which GFL supplied a code:
- Select Customer as the address type and select the recipient.
- When shipping to a specific ship-to address, also add a Ship-to Address entry.
- Enter the code supplied by GFL as the external address code.
4️⃣ Check the Order
In the Addresses step of GFL Transport Order Creator, check GFL Sender Code and GFL Recipient Code. Both fields must contain a value before continuing.
Note
When the shipment is collected from a different place than the sender address, select a separate shipping location and complete Loading Location (Ship From).
